How it all began...

In 1909 Karl & Anna Müller bought the small Rose inn with about 20 seats and a butcher shop. In 1924, the Rose Hall was built, which still exists today.


The second youngest of the 4 daughters of the Müllers, Emilie, took over the parental business together with her husband Willi Carle in 1945.



In 1962 the butcher shop, which was the main source of income at that time, was renovated and in 1964 the first guest rooms were set up on the upper floor.

Annette Carle

  • Born on March 31, 1984
  • Apprenticeship as hotel manageress at Hotel Höltje in Verden/Aller
  • Workplaces in Switzerland: Hotel Meierhof, Davos and in Austria: Hotel Schalber, Serfaus

Elke Bender (née Carle) with husband Oliver Bender & children

  • Born July 16, 1976
  • After high school studies at the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne with a Bachelor of Science degree
  • Professional experience in renowned hotels in Switzerland, London, New York and lastly at the Colombi Hotel in Fribourg as Sales Manager and and management assistant

  • Second apprenticeship as a cook at the Hotel Krone-Post, Gaildorf added

Helga Carle

  • After graduating from secondary school, completed training as a bank clerk at Volksbank Hohenlohe in Öhringen
  • Second apprenticeship with qualification as a butcher in Heilbronn
